Absolutely. Maxwell Stay is a family-friendly weekend getaway on the Vaal with kids: private pools, open lawns and room to play across the estate. Residences are fully equipped for self catering, and catered meals or overflow rondavel accommodation can be arranged on request.

The estate is approximately one hour from Joburg and Johannesburg, an easy drive for weekend getaways, day events and mid-week corporate escapes on the Vaal River. Plot 2 Maxwell Farm, Sasolburg, on the banks of the Vaal.

We hold available dates for 24 hours while our reservations team confirms pricing and payment details, usually within one business day. No payment is taken on the website.

Indicative weekday rates start from R 5,000 per night for The Lodge (from 6 guests), R 5,500 for The Farm House (from 6 guests) and R 8,000 for The Villa (from 8 guests). Weekend bookings require a minimum of 2 nights on all houses, and from 16 December to 3 January a minimum of 5 nights applies. Weekend nights (Friday and Saturday) are priced higher. The Villa sleeps up to 16 guests, The Lodge sleeps up to 10 and The Farm House sleeps up to 13. Together the three residences accommodate up to 30 guests for exclusive estate hire; ask our reservations team about overflow requirements.

Yes. Exclusive use of the property is available for weddings and large celebrations. Share your dates and guest count and we will recommend the best configuration across The Villa, Lodge and Farm House.

We welcome corporate retreats, strategy sessions and team building events. Meeting spaces, accommodation and catering can be tailored to your agenda.

All properties are fully equipped for self catering. Full board, half board and private chef options are available on request.

Pets are permitted only when agreed in writing before arrival. Guide dogs are welcome with prior notice. Contact the reservations team before booking so the arrangement can be confirmed.
